Tag Team

TAG TEAM is our newest piece of programming, and was introduced to the kids in late November and to the rest of the world in January 2008. It features the work of kids who have participated in at least our PLAYMAKING and PLAY-IT-AGAIN programs. After attending classes in which they learn how brainstorm together as teams, the kids develop a complete play as a group. Together, they come up with the basic storyline, the three main characters and the overall scheme of each scene. Then they split up, partner with adult dramaturges, and each write one of the scenes. To keep things especially interesting for one and all, each time the scene (and kid playwright) changes, the actors playing the main characters change as well.
