Our Benefit Performances

THE MANTON AVENUE PROJECT's first-ever Benefit event took place on May 14, 2007. It was a slight variation on our usual M.O. and was such a fabulously-fun success that we plan on repeating it annually. This time, while half the plays are written by kids and acted by adults, the other half are written by guest adult writers (from a WIDE variety of occupations) for acting duos of one adult/one MAP Kid. Each tiny play (3-5 minutes as opposed to our usual 5-10) has a even tinier song. With food and drink before and after.

The kid participants come from across all of our programming. As long as they have been part of at least the PLAYMAKING program, they are eligible to participate in the Benefit.
